Always let them air dry before you put them away for the day. This will help keep the foam fresh and soft. It will also help fight that musty goggle odor.

Always store your goggles in the fabric bag that they come with to keep them scratch free. If you don’t have a bag, get one, a scratched lens is a nightmare to see out of.

Clean them only with a dry lens cleaner or the storage bag. Tissue, Windex, gloves, shirts and hands will scratch the lenses, especially the softer inner lens.

Love your goggles and they will love you.

Ski Goggle Lens Options Explained

Gold -The most popular lens tint. Filters out blue light for exceptional flat to bright light conditions. Wide range of weather conditions.

Black Iridium -The mirrored coating helps reduce glare with maximum visual clarity. Great for sunny days.

Bronze -Great protection on those sunny days when you can’t help but squint out there. Give your eyes a break on those super clear days.

Silver/Green -All around Lens. Enhances contrast in diffused light. Ideal for all light conditions.

Rose -Great for low light conditions, yet still practical on sunny days.

Psycho (Purple) -One of the best low light lenses we’ve used. Perfect for overcast and snowy days. Brings out the shadows and contours in the flattest light.

Clear -Night skiing or extremely cloudy days. Provides 100% UV protection without an added tint.

Some advice on goggles:

Single lens or double lens?
Go for the double lens. Single lenses fog much faster than double lenses. We also recommend a No Fog Cloth to provide maximum fog protection.

Venting?
Get vented goggles!! Venting in the goggle allows air to flow through the goggle to reduce fogging and also to provide fresh air for your eyes. You’d be amazed at the difference. The vents are commonly small holes in the top of the lens, or slots on the sides of the frame.

Technical Shell Tips

The Care and Feeding of Your Waterproof/Breathable Shell

For best performance, it is a good idea to keep your waterproof/breathable Gore-Tex® or ConduitTM shell clean and its DWR (durable water repellent) finish freshly charged. This means, first of all, trying to keep oil and grease away from the garment. Secondly, it means washing it when it does get dirty and reapplying its DWR finish.

Shells can be machine-washed in warm (NOT HOT) water using regular powdered laundry detergent. DO NOT use Woolite or other cleaners with lanolin, any other oil, or fabric softener in them. Put the garment through at least two rinse cycles as the detergent interacts with the DWR finish and needs to be totally rinsed out of the material. Tumble dry at medium heat.

After the shell has been washed and dried, reapply the DWR finish. We recommend you do this after each washing and also at the beginning of your wet-weather season. Use the spray-on, rather than the wash-in, type products. Two brands we suggest are Revivex, from W.L. Gore, and Tech-Tron.

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for application. Once you have successfully cleaned and refinished your shell, it should work as well as new again.
